Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Sonic Youth - "Dirty Boots" (from Goo, 1990)

Sonic Youth music was MADE to be played on vinyl. "Dirty Boots" is a great song, no matter the format, but it's just that much... awesomer on vinyl.

'Nough said. Listen & enjoy:

The Hollies - He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

One of the great Hollies song. A bit cheesy, but still, hell, it's the Freakin' Hollies, man!

I dedicate this one to my Big Brother, Mike. Go check out his blog at: http://mikeyboy50.blogspot.com/

Awesome bird photos!

Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Bruce Springsteen - Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out

The great Clarence Clemons died yesterday at age 69, from complications following a stroke he suffered last week. Springsteen shows will never be the same.

R.I.P. Big Man.

Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting (45 RPM)

Yup, that's right. This is the VERY first record I ever bought on my own, with my own money, and I'm NOT ashamed to admit it! Loved that album. Had some great soul songs.

Ah, memories...

YouTube Video: "RCA Dynaflex: vinyl that bends"

Ah! yes, the dreaded "Dynaflex" vinyl record which RCA tried to pass as a higher-quality product (it wasn't). Just another way to use less vinyl per album. Cheaper, perhaps, but in no way a higher-quality record.

See for yourselves:

Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Roy Orbison - 1. "Leah" - 2. "Borne On the Wind" - 3. "What'd I say"

How freakin' cool is this? Three great Roy Orbison songs playing on a really COOL record player (an Audiotrinics 312T).

Fleet Foxes - Sim Sala Bim

Heaven on Earth. My favorite album of the year 2011 (up to this point) on vinyl.

Sweet, sweet, sweet.

Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Link Wray - "Rumble" (45 RPM)

Sweet. Old 45s have that special quality: they ALWAYS sound great, no matter how battered they look. My old Beatles 45s still have stunning sound, even after hundreds of plays. Never mind the scratches and the wear & tear, they just keep on delivering.

Long live vinyl.

Another GREAT video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Marek Biliński - Po drugiej stronie świata

Awesome track. I have a soft spot for Polish rock, my favorite artist being the late great Niemen.
This piece by instrumentalist Marek Biliński blows me away.

Another great video featuring vinyl on a turntable!

Ohio Players - Fire
The classic Ohio Players song with plenty of clicks, ticks & surface noise at the start of the track. Love it!
